Apologies for being a little quiet on the website-- I got married last weekend (huzzah!) and planning a wedding, no matter how "simple" it is, takes a lot of work...
Things have been a little quiet on the audition-front while planning consumed me for a few weeks, but there is still some art-making in the works!
Last Monday, July 22, I attended the IT Awards Nominations Party with New Stage Theatre Company. Garden of Delights was nominated for Outstanding Costume Design, Outstanding Innovative Design, and Outstanding Premiere Production of a Play! Check out the TheatreMania story (featuring the lovely New Stage ladies!) HERE. It was so wonderful to see friends nominated for their brave, beautiful work.
Today, I had my first meeting with Kacie Laforest, who has invited me to co-choreograph The Serious Collective's upcoming musical, "Professor Von Awesome's Ghost Hunting Safari." The script is crazy-smart and crazy-funny. The music is awesome. And the choreography we made today is rad. First show is October 4th in NYC! We'll also be going to Philadelphia Oct 18-19.
TOMORROW, August 1st, I will be performing with (Alex)andra Taylor Dance as part of Gowanus Arts & Production (GAP)'s "First Look" at The Green Building. The show is at 8, tickets are $15, and there are a ton of fabulous dancers!
