NEXT YEAR. Ryan Lewis, on set.
"That was fire."
THE PRODUCERS. Kim Hastings, Drama in the Hood
"Several members of the large ensemble deserve a critical shout-out...Valerie Ryan Miller stood out in several dance sequences."
PROFESSOR VON AWESOME'S GHOST HUNTING SAFARI. Rochelle Denton, nytheater now
"There is a lot going on in this production. The smart choreography of Valerie Ryan Miller and Kacie Laforest allow the cast to dance, sing and tussle with professional suavity – almost as if there is room to spare. Professor von Awesome plays on weekends through October. It’s pure entertainment."
MAC & CHEESE. Henry Chamberlain, Comics Grinder
"And Stacey, the potential source of help from the outside world, has a lively presence. She gives us a female version of that nuanced performance by Martin Balsam in Psycho."
BASH. Lisa Gauthier Mitchison, NUVO Magazine
"Valerie Miller plays the adult victim of a pedophile who left her pregnant at age 14. She sits, recounting her story into a tape player for the authorities, but again, you feel she is speaking directly to you. Hers is perhaps the most forgivable of the crimes — though Miller plays her character as strong and mentally intact, you can’t help but feel that this Woman is a victim as well. That she can create empathy for this character is evidence of good acting."
